What this is
Texas Fire Salaries is a community-maintained pay atlas for Texas fire departments — current pay, schedules, incentives, and career step plans, reported by firefighters, applicants, recruiters, and departments themselves. It's community reported, not an official government source.
Coverage
The database is built region by region, not all at once. It currently covers North Texas (Dallas–Fort Worth); more regions are added as contributors submit data for them. If your department or region isn't listed yet, you can submit it.
Who runs it
This site is built and maintained by a small, independent team from the Texas fire-service community — not by any city, county, or government agency. An administrator reviews flagged submissions, disputes, and department claims; routine community submissions publish automatically without review, and every revision is preserved (see the disclaimer for what that means for accuracy).
